The new tale builds on the table-turning motif of “Caps for Sale.” After a first page that reproduces the text of the original’s opening page, with the art doctored up a bit to show the peddler standing outside of the town, “More Caps for Sale” moves right to his walk home after his encounter with the monkeys.
