This two-piece ensemble features a linen sleeveless shift and satin/embroidered short sleeve princess jacket both made by Slobodkina through deconstructing and reworking an old Indian saree. Slobodkina always worked with a dress form and never used patterns.

The slim line of this outfit was designed for an evening cocktail party Slobodkina would be attending. The zippered bolero was made from the decorative ribbon of the reworked Indian saree and sewn with gold thread.
