This assemblage, one of Slobodkina’s last works at age 93 was inspired by her return to living in Glen Head NY between the Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. Always drawn to angles and planes, the sails of boats on the water inspired numerous works in Slobodkina’s long life.
